CCLA EMT Scholarship

Purpose: To promote higher skill levels in the lifesaving profession through tuition assistance for Basic EMT, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic courses

Applicants must meet specific criteria and submit a complete application.  50% of the awarded funds will be provided to the applicant upon course registration with the remaining balance provided once the applicant receives NREMT certification.

Applications will be accepted continuously and will be reviewed/awarded three times a year - April, July, November.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must meet all of these minimum requirements to be considered for the scholarship:

  • Applicants must be a member in good standing with the Charleston County Lifesaving Association

  • Applicants will be required to submit proof of registration prior to disbursement of funds

  • Applicants must be 18 years old by the end of the course

  • Applicants must enroll within one year of scholarship award

Selection Criteria: Applicants will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Application

  • Resume

  • At least one letter of recommendation
